Community Hub Admin Team 1 month ago Hi everyoneThank you for taking the time to read our latest project update. Over the past week, good progress has been made on the scour pipe replacement works. The support pipes required for the new vent pipe have now been successfully installed, providing the necessary support for the next stage of the project.The replacement vent pipe has now been delivered to site and our team is scheduled to install it tomorrow. This is an important milestone within the programme of works and will allow us to continue progressing the repairs as planned.Our teams will continue to work carefully and safely while completing this section of the project. Community Hub Admin Team 2 months ago Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read our first update since Esh-Stantec began establishing the site working area.Over the past month, the dive team has successfully completed the de-silting works, and the stop logs have now been measured. The road closure has been temporarily removed, allowing normal access to resume. To enable the remaining works to be completed safely, the road will close again from 31st August until the end of September. We will provide a further reminder before the closure is reinstated. A filtered drain has now been installed adjacent to the Great Southern Reservoir. A thrust block has also been installed to facilitate the removal and repair of the vent pipe in the lower sub-basin. Progress on this section of the project has been slower than anticipated due to difficult access and challenging ground conditions but works continue to move forward. Community Hub Admin Team 3 months ago Hi everyone, Working with our supply partner Esh Stantec, we'll be carrying out essential improvement works at the western side of Whittle Dene Reservoir. These works involve renewing control valves that allow us to safely manage water levels in an emergency and ensure the continued reliability of the reservoir.To carry out part of this work safely, our supply partner Esh Stantec will need to implement a temporary road closure on the B6309 Welton to Whittle Dene Reservoir Road. The closure will be in place from 22 June 2026 to 11 September 2026 to allow the safe setup of a compound area.A clearly signed diversion route will be in place, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
