Sunniside Flooding Reduction

Project Overview

We’re working in partnership through the Northumbrian Integrated Drainage Partnership (NIDP) to help reduce flood risk in Whickham South & Sunniside.

Together, we’ve identified areas where the drainage network could be improved and are now carrying out surveys and developing our plans. Our aim is to better manage water in the area and support long-term protection for homes, businesses and local infrastructure.

We’ll keep the community updated via the Community Hub as the project progresses and aim to keep any disruption to a minimum.
