Warkworth Stanners SPS Refurb

Warkworth Stanners Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) is in close proximity to the River Coquet and is prone to flooding, therefore it requires an upgrade to comply with Northumbrian Waters commitment to deliver investment that increases its wastewater resilience. We will be investing £600k refurbishing the SPS to protect the environment in Warkworth, and work will be undertaken together with our supply partner, RetroFlo.

Go Vocal Admin1 year ago Update on work in your areaAs you know Northumbrian Water, and our supply partner RetroFlo, commenced work to repair and refurbish the Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) and conversion work to create a wet well. I’d like to thank you for the patience you have shown throughout the past 6 months whilst we carried out these essential works. I am pleased to advise that the work is now successfully complete. As we leave site, we will be undertaking some reinstatement works which will include the areas of parking spaces and grass seeding of the grassed area, as well as upgrading the small perimeter fence. We will continue to monitor these areas over the coming months. Thank you again for your patience

Go Vocal Admin1 year ago Since the return in January, we have been making good progress on site and we reached a key stage in the project this week. Our Supply partners, RetroFlo coordinated a crane lift on Tuesday 18th February to install a concrete cover slab for the pumping station, which was successfully completed. We will now continue with works inside the chamber and work our way up to ground level, completing the pipework and electrical connections.
