We're investing in improvements at Selset Reservoir to help keep it operating safely and efficiently for the future.

As part of this work, we'll be replacing ageing equipment that helps control water levels within the reservoir. Upgrading this equipment will improve reliability, support the reservoir's safe operation, and help maintain water supplies.

By carrying out these essential improvements now, we're helping to ensure Selset Reservoir continues to serve local communities and the environment for many years to come.

Community Hub Admin Team 2 weeks ago Hi everyoneOur teams have continued to make good progress within the Tailbay area as part of the ongoing improvement works.Over the past week, the existing pipework has been removed, and installation of the new pipework is now underway. Work has also been carried out to remove sections of existing stonework and concrete to allow construction of the new thrust block, with reinforcement steel now being installed ahead of the concrete works.Elsewhere on site, preparations are continuing for the next phase of the project, including electrical works and the installation of a temporary kiosk to support ongoing construction activities.Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we carry out these essential improvements. Community Hub Admin Team 4 weeks ago Hi everyone,I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and the Esh Stantec team, who are working in partnership with Northumbrian Water on this project.My name is Rachel Rutter, and I am the Customer Liaison Officer for the project. I'll be your main point of contact throughout the works, supported by Alice Blackett, Customer Liaison Officer, and Christine Taylor, Customer and Service Delivery Manager.We're pleased to share that work at Selset Reservoir is progressing well, with several important milestones now complete.✅ The main site compound has been set up on the north side of the reservoir. ✅ A temporary access road has been installed. ✅ A crane platform has been constructed to support future works. ✅ Safe access has been established to the tailbay structure. ✅ Existing steel walkways in the tailbay area have been removed.These activities are important preparation works that will help us carry out the upcoming valve repairs safely and efficiently.Thank you for your continued patience and support while we complete these improvements.
