Community Hub Admin Team 4 months ago Hi everyone, We’re excited to share that the Pipebot Patrol project was recently featured on BBC's The One Show, aired on 08/12/25. This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the innovative work happening as part of the project and how it is pioneering the future of sewer maintenance.We wanted to let you know that there will be some activity on-site from week commencing 15/12/25, as part of the next phase of the project, allowing us to test the Pipebot in a controlled manner. We look forward to sharing progress and the results of testing in 2026 as we work further as part of this project.Thank you,The Project Team

Work has officially begun on building a dedicated kiosk that will serve as the central point for on-site testing. This kiosk is designed to support the deployment and monitoring of PipeBot technology, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for trials.Once construction is complete, the next phase will involve live testing of PipeBot in real-world conditions, marking an exciting step toward smarter, more sustainable solutions for our sewer networks.Stay tuned for updates as we move closer to transforming how underground infrastructure is managed.

I am Chris Bolt Northumbrian Water’s Project Manager and I will be looking after this project through to its completion. Starting October 2025, we will be carrying out work to introduce patrolling robots into the sewer and begin trials. The works scope includes the installation of a new kiosk prior to installation of the crawler into the sewer. As the project develops, I will keep you informed about our plans and progress by sharing on this portal. I am very interested to understand your views.
