Northumbrian Water Leakage Study

Project Overview

We're working with local communities to help reduce water leaks and protect the environment. To support this work, our partner Hydrosave will be carrying out surveys on behalf of Northumbrian Water to help us better understand how water moves through the local network and identify any potential leaks.

As part of the survey, small monitoring devices called loggers may be fitted to water meter chambers in the area for up to ten working days. You may see our teams working near your driveway or garden if your water meter is located there.

There will be no interruption to your water supply, and we won't need access inside your home.

Once the monitoring period is complete, we'll return to remove the equipment. If the survey identifies anything that may need further investigation, we'll contact affected customers directly to discuss the next steps and provide any advice or support required.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to reduce leaks, improve the reliability of the water network, and help protect the environment for the future.
