New Moors Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

Starting in February 2024, as part of a £4.3 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our New Moors wastewater treatment works in Evenwood Gate. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of Hummer Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream.

There are some additional works underway replacing an end of asset life balancing tank, which is due for completion by the end of November 2025 and cabins will be removed in December 2025. The site is now in full compliance.
