Hesleden Dene

Project Overview

We’re investing over £8 million at Hesleden Dene (Pipe Bridge) to help protect and improve the local environment by reducing the risk of pollution entering the watercourse.

As part of the project, we’ll build a new underground sewer system to replace the existing sewer pipe bridge, which will be removed once the new system is in place.

Most of our work will take place on private land on either side of the Hart to Haswell Walkway, south-west of Hesleden Working Men's Club. To safely access our work areas, construction vehicles will need to travel through Hesleden Village.

There will also be temporary restrictions on sections of the Hart to Haswell Walkway while work is taking place. We'll do everything we can to minimise disruption and will keep local communities informed throughout the project.
