Craster Pumping Station Bankside Improvements

As part of our commitment to maintain and deliver a reliable sewage network, we are investing in a sustainable solution to protect the bankside, underneath the pumping station on Dunstanburgh Road, from coastal erosion. This will protect the bankside from future erosion and our pumping station, which will continue to protect the environment and deliver robust wastewater services for your community.

Investing In Water

We have recently launched a project to address the bankside erosion underneath our Craster North wastewater pumping station. This project aims to protect the bankside and our pumping station so that we can continue to protect the environment and deliver robust wastewater services for your community.

We are currently carrying out survey work along the shoreline and in parts of the village to better understand the area and ecological requirements given the level of environmental protections in place along this coastline. This will help us plan the improvement work.

As we are still developing the solution, we are unable to provide any further detail. As the project progresses, we will share further information and examples of what the solution could involve.
