Burn Road Sea Outfall Repairs

We are investing approximately £1.7 million to repair and improve the sea outfalls on Burn Road, Hartlepool Bay. This investment addresses asset condition and performance concerns, enhancing the environment by reducing the potential for beach pollution. These repairs will bolster resilience, decreasing the likelihood of future pollution incidents, minimizing operator intervention, and improving site health and safety. The sea outfall is a crucial Northumbrian Water asset, contributing to the enhancement of river and coastal water quality for the benefit of people, the environment, and wildlife.
