Bishop Auckland Wastewater Treatment Works

As part of the Northumbrian Water Asset Management Period (AMP8), we'll be carrying out upgrades to Bishop Auckland Sewage Treatment Works. The proposed development at to Bishop Auckland is the design, supply and commissioning of new assets.

This is one of the many sites across the region to receive upgrades to remove phosphorous from the sewage prior to discharge into the local river network. Excess phosphorus can cause algae to grow in watercourses, reducing biodiversity and river water quality.
