Annfield Plain Flood Reduction

The Northumbria Integrated Drainage Partnership (NIDP) is an award-winning partnership bringing together local authorities across the North East, the Environment Agency and Northumbrian Water to help reduce flood risk and improve drainage for communities.

Following the initial stages of our flood risk study, we have identified two areas in Annfield Plain where further work may help reduce the risk of flooding.

Our next step is to carry out additional surveys and ground investigations to better understand the area and identify the most effective solutions. Using the information gathered, we will develop plans for potential improvements and continue to explore funding opportunities to help bring them forward.
