We're pleased to introduce a project at Browney Lane and provide an overview of the planned work.
🚧 Over the next five years, we will be carrying out improvements across the Browney area to help protect and enhance local rivers and the surrounding environment.
As part of this investment, Browney Sewage Treatment Works will be upgraded to improve the quality of treated wastewater before it is safely returned to the River Browney and the River Wear. These improvements will help support healthier waterways and benefit local environment.
