From "Craster Bankside Improvements"

Go to the project

Northumbrian Water is launching a new initiative that gives customers, community groups and local stakeholders the opportunity to share ideas that could positively benefit their local area.

Whether it’s supporting local people, improving shared spaces or creating new opportunities, your ideas can help shape the benefits delivered through our investment programme.

What kind of ideas can you share?

Your idea might focus on:

Supporting people through volunteering

Community clean ups, environmental improvements, or support for local groups and charities.

Inspiring young people and building skills

School engagement, career talks, STEM activities, workshops or site visits.

Improving local places and the environment

Outdoor classrooms, community green spaces, or projects that support nature and biodiversity.

Responding to local priorities

Ideas that reflect what matters most to your community

How to get Involved?

To submit your idea visit our site here.

All ideas are carefully reviewed and, where possible, matched with our projects and delivery partners. While we may not be able to support every idea, every submission will be considered fairly. Together, we can create positive local impact.

1. I submitted a request to you at least three weeks ago as per your invitation for area improvements and have had no response. 2. We had been told at community meetings that we (residents in Craster specifically affected on Dunstanburgh Road) would be informed of progress plans, times and dates of specific anticipated road closures, deliveries etc and I find nothing on your website to show these. Where do I look to find this information? You have our contact details so I cannot understand why you are not keeping us informed.

@sue chapman Hi Sue, thank you for getting in touch and for your submission through our new community initiative. We greatly appreciate your feedback and ideas. All submissions will be reviewed, and achievable ideas will be considered and shared with the community this autumn. We apologise that progress updates have not yet been shared on our Community Hub. Moving forward, weekly updates will be posted every Monday so that residents are kept informed of activities taking place on site during the week ahead. If you have any questions or would like to speak with a member of the project team, please feel free to leave a comment and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Kind regards The Project Team
