🚧 Project Update
We're continuing to make good progress on our work to improve the water network in the area.
As part of the next stage of the project, we'll need to introduce two rolling road closures while we install the new water pipe. The first closure is now in place and is highlighted by the red line on the map below.
🔥 Planning ahead during dry weather
We know many people are concerned about the recent hot and dry weather, and the increased risk of wildfires across the countryside.
To help keep local communities safe, we've been working closely with the Fire and Rescue Service to make sure emergency vehicles can continue to access Beanley Hill and the surrounding moorland if needed.
🚒 Maintaining emergency access
We've installed temporary road plates across sections of the excavation to allow emergency vehicles to cross safely if required.
The photo below shows the access route, which is suitable for large emergency and heavy goods vehicles.
