Hi everyone,
At Northumbrian Water, we believe it’s important that the communities, customers, and local businesses we serve benefit from the great work we do.
With that aim in mind, we have been working closely with Pelton Parish Council and Durham County Council to identify opportunities to make a positive impact in the Pelton area, as a thank you for the community’s patience and understanding while our environmental improvement works continue to progress successfully.
In full collaboration with our supply partner, Avove, we’re excited to be revitalising land at Southfields to create a welcoming space for leisure and community use. Something we hope the people of Pelton will enjoy and feel proud of for many years to come.
On Monday 29 September, we plan to begin work to restore this area. During this time, we kindly ask that the carriageway near Sandyford Road and Fairfield (Close to the Junction) is kept clear of parked vehicles. This will help us conduct the work safely and efficiently.
You may notice increased activity in the area, including additional vehicles and some noise associated with site operations whilst we work. Our working hours will be 08:00 to 18:00. Thank you once again for your continued support and understanding.
