Hello everyone
Welcome to the Barrasford Community Hub. This hub is where we'll share regular updates on the project to keep you informed as work progresses, and it also provides a place for you to ask any questions.
The team includes Northumbrian Water’s Project Manager, Graeme, Customer Care Manager, Dave along with JN Bentley’s Customer Liaison Officer, Bethany, and Site Agent, Mark.
To begin, we’d like to share some upcoming activities that you may notice over the coming months:
From late June, we will re-mobilise on site with a small compound at the pumping station. During June and July, we will carry out maintenance to the access track, protect existing buried services such as underground pipes and cables, and start setting up the main works compound in the South East corner of the field. This will include safely redirecting the public footpath around the work area, installing secure fencing, removing the top layer of soil, and laying a stone surface to create a stable working area.
From August to September 2026, we will continue with smaller preparation works ahead of the main construction phase. This includes getting the site ready for major activity starting in October, when the main compound will be fully set up.
