From "Sunniside Flooding Reduction"

Go to the project

Hi everyone

The NIDP scheme continues to progress, with the site compound established and initial mobilisation activities completed.

Our teams are continuing to work closely with project partners to coordinate the next stages of delivery and ensure the scheme is carefully planned. We remain focused on progressing the works safely and with the needs of residents and the wider community in mind.

Further updates will be shared through the Community Hub as the scheme progresses.

Thanks

The Project Team

Hi Team I appreciate you getting back to me and explaining the position. I have noticed that it has been a lot quieter today. There's no need for a visit as you've addressed my query within your email. Thanks

Is it necessary to have the on site generator running all day - could sound baffles be deployed to reduce the noise?

@lynne johnston Hi Lynne Thank you for your comment and for raising your concerns regarding noise from the generator. We’ve spoken with the site manager, who has confirmed that the generator is not running throughout the day. The site is primarily powered by the battery and solar generator, with the generator only required to operate if both the battery and solar power are fully depleted. The generator is also fitted with timers, so it will not come on before 7am or after 6pm. We will also look into your suggestion regarding the use of sound barriers or other measures to help reduce any noise from the generator. Our Customer Care Manager will be in the area tomorrow morning and can call in to speak with you directly about the noise, discuss your concerns and look at the situation with you. Thanks The Project Team Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.’
