Hi everyone,
Howdon Sewage Treatment Works is a major wastewater treatment site and we are in the planning stages of a significant investment programme for the site.
A detailed level of project definition works has already been completed, which we sought customer views on at the time. Over the next twelve months we will be working with key regulatory stakeholders to ensure the solution we’ve defined remains appropriate to meet the wastewater treatment requirements we need to achieve, while ensuring this is affordable for our customers. This work is being led by our Capital Delivery Major Projects team, and we are expecting this to represent a multi-million pound investment programme for the site. While this is currently in its early stages, our dates here reflect our current forecast delivery expectations which we will update should anything change.
We will continue to post updates as we continue to work on our solution, and look forward to re-engaging with customers and stakeholders as we progress.
