@Natalie G Hello Natalie, Thank you for reaching out with your questions on behalf of those who were unable to attend our customer information event last night. During the event, we shared plans showing the proposed working area on the field at Elwin Place, along with details of the traffic management arrangements agreed with Durham County Council. These measures are being put in place to safely manage traffic through the estate and will impact The Wynd, Elwin Place and Grange Street during the construction period. We also took the opportunity to answer any queries raised by residents; please see further information on the specific points you raised which I hope is helpful. Construction Activities and Machinery During the initial site compound setup, there will be an increase in vehicle movements through the estate, including the delivery of large plant and construction equipment. Once delivered, this machinery will remain within the site compound for the duration of the works. Our teams will typically arrive on site from 7:00am to undertake daily briefings and work planning. Construction activities will commence from 8:00am and finish at 5:00pm, after which site teams will leave the area. The majority of vehicles used by our teams will be vans and light commercial vehicles. Noise Levels We have worked closely with Durham County Council throughout the planning process for this project. As part of this process, details of the proposed construction activities, plant and machinery have been reviewed. Following this assessment, no additional noise mitigation measures have been identified as necessary, as the anticipated noise levels from the works are expected to remain within accepted limits. Construction activities will take place between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. At present, we do not anticipate any routine weekend working. However, should weekend working become necessary, we will provide residents with advance notice and keep the local community informed. Updates We are currently working to finalise all plans associated with the scheme. At present, the anticipated start date is 17 August 2025; however, this has not yet been formally confirmed. Once all approvals and arrangements have been finalised, we will issue formal notification to all residents confirming the start date and helpful relevant information about the planned work. Thanks for your reply. So is the work being carried out on the field in elwin place or the field behind the wynd? Are you able to post details of the traffic management on here?
