Project Update 1 September 2026

We'd like to share the latest update on our ongoing work across the South Stanley area. Thank you for your continued patience and support while we carry out these improvements.

📍 Park Road Area

✅ Rydal Avenue

Work on Rydal Avenue has now been completed. The road has been fully reinstated and is open as normal.

🔨 Parmeter Street

We're continuing to install the new combined sewer along Parmeter Street. This work is progressing well and is expected to be completed next week.

🚧 Mundell Street Road Closure

Following this, work will move onto Mundell Street. A road closure will be in place from Tuesday 1 September until the end of November 2026 to allow this work to be carried out safely.

🚦 Hustledown Road

Work has restarted on Hustledown Road, where we're installing new surface water drainage. Two-way traffic lights will remain in place while these works are completed.

🚧 Keswick Road

Phase 2 of our works on Keswick Road is now underway. A road closure remains in place while we install new surface water drainage.

📍 Avon Road Area

✅ Marx Crescent West

Drainage work has now been completed, and the road has been reinstated and reopened.

✅ Marx Crescent East

Drainage work has also been completed here, with the road now reinstated and open for use.

🌱 Kier Hardie Avenue

Our team has started installing drainage across the grassed area on Kier Hardie Avenue.

🔨 Tweed Terrace to Tees Crescent

The drainage section running from the rear of Tweed Terrace to the junction of Tees Crescent is now complete. Reinstatement work will take place next week before we begin work on Tees Crescent.
