Project Update 09/12/2025

Hi everyone,

Please see below update of ongoing works at Coundon Burn.

Pumping operation remains set up for transfer of flows to the South side of Coundon Burn watercourse. Tie-ins are planned to existing manholes but due to poor weather and increased flows, works are temporarily suspended.

Drillers on-hold ready to drill into existing chambers to tie-in pipework. (See photos showing pipework and pumps set up ready for a suitable weather window to allow completion of sewer works to South side of Coundon Burn).

Issues with conditions of the field due to recent wet weather means reinstatement over attenuation tank has been suspended until we have appropriate weather conditions to allow backfilling and reinstatement to be re-commenced. (See site conditions at location of buried Attenuation Tank)

ADL are due on site on Monday 08/12/25 for 3 days to install ladders to manholes. ADL also fitting ladders and safety grilles to the Attenuation Tank chimneys.
