Hi everyone
We'd like to inform you of a temporary road closure currently in place on Dock Road due to safety concerns identified during ongoing construction works.
Over the weekend on Sunday 7 June 2026, it was discovered that a section of the road had become undermined adjacent to the active traffic lane. In the interest of public safety, works were immediately halted and a decision was taken to implement a road closure while the situation is assessed and stabilised.
Our Partner is currently reviewing the condition of the affected area and arranging the necessary measures, such as ground support and temporary protection, before it is safe to reopen the road.
We appreciate that this may cause inconvenience, and we are working to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
