From "Whittle Dene Reservoir Improvements"

Hi everyone,
Working with our supply partner Esh Stantec, we'll be carrying out essential improvement works at the western side of Whittle Dene Reservoir. These works involve renewing control valves that allow us to safely manage water levels in an emergency and ensure the continued reliability of the reservoir.
To carry out part of this work safely, our supply partner Esh Stantec will need to implement a temporary road closure on the B6309 Welton to Whittle Dene Reservoir Road. The closure will be in place from 22 June 2026 to 11 September 2026 to allow the safe setup of a compound area.
A clearly signed diversion route will be in place, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. The diversion route is shown on the image below for your reference.
