Dear Customer,
As part of the Northumbria Integrated Drainage Partnership (NIDP), Northumbrian Water, Durham County Council, and the Environment Agency are working collaboratively with local communities to proactively reduce the risk of flooding to homes and businesses, while also protecting the environment.
Over recent months, our supply partner, Seymour’s, has carried out extensive investigations in and around, The Leas, Cragside & The Meadows area of Sedgefield, including topographic and manhole surveys to develop a clearer understanding of the sewerage network and how it interacts with the surrounding land and area.
We are now ready to share our proposals to deliver work that will reduce flood risk in the area with you and would welcome your feedback. This will help us understand your views and explore ways to minimise any disruption once the work begins.
We would like to invite you to our information evening, which will be held at Sedgefield Cricket Club located on Station Road, Sedgefield, TS21 2BY, on 20 November 2025 between 16:30-18:30.
During the event, we will present details of the planned works, address any concerns, and respond to your questions. Light refreshments will be available for your comfort. We look forward to welcoming you and appreciate your support as we work towards these important improvements.
